X (formerly Twitter) is my most preferred, in fact, the only platform for getting news, trending topics and in-depth insights on any topic.
TheNobel Prize 2023 was no exception. A tweet on Google surge in “Attosecond” caught my attention and I followed the trail to get some interesting details.

An attosecond is a very short unit of time that is equal to one quintillionth of a second, or 10⁻¹⁸ seconds.
To put it in perspective, an attosecond is to a second what a second is to about 31.71 billion years.
Scientists use attosecond pulses of light to study the ultrafast motion of electrons in atoms and molecules, which can reveal the underlying mechanisms of many physical and chemical processes.
