Life Imitates Art…

Life imitates art far more than art imitates life — Oscar Wilde

I was reminded of this quote after seeing two art works – one from 1914 and the other from an unknown period.

Both truly depict the current scenario in the world caused by COVID-19 #Corona.

Giorgio de Chirico’s masterpiece, “Mystery and Melancholy of a Street”, done in 1914, is a prophetic statement on 2020.

The below painting is by Sudhir Patwardhan. Date/year not known.
