Swanand Kelkar on The One Percent Show

I have been following Vishal Khandelwal for few years now. He runs a blog, newsletter and website called Safal Niveshak. He also wrote a beautiful hand-crafted book called “The Sketchbook of Wisdom”. I have bought it for myself and have also gifted it to a couple of friends who love reading.

For last couple of years of less Vishal has also started a podcast show called “The One Percent Show” where he talks with successful investors, writer, thinkers etc.

Swanand Kelkar is an interesting person who I discovered in the last 1-1.5 years. He is a CA, IIM-A alumn and have been working with Ruchir Sharma for many years. The interesting thing about him is that he took a sabbatical in 2020 when he turned 40 years (so he’s exactly my age, or a few months older). He took one year off and pursued few of his passions, learnt new skills, ticked some items off his bucket list and then returned back to his profession calmer, wiser and happier. By the way, one of the interesting things he did during that sabbatical was to produce a Marathi movie – Fulrani – which is a film adaptation of Marathi play Fulrani, which in turn was adaptation of play The Pygmalion (or movie My Fair Lady).

I had listed to his discussion with a Marathi podcaster (I think I have also blogged about it) and then I connected with him on Linkedin few months ago.

Since he is my connection on Linkedin, I got in my feed an update when he posted about his discussion with Vishal on The One Percent Show. I immediately watched it during my evening walks and found it to be awesome! It’s almost 2 hours long but there are so many interesting nuggets to double click on and think/write about.

Do watch it here…you may also check Swanand’s Marathi podcast which I blogged about earlier; and also The One Percent Show podcast by Vishal Khandelwal.
