The Constitution Day Speech by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar

One of the long pending items on my reading list is to read Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s speeches in the constituent assembly during the drafting of constitution. I couldn’t find the audio version anywhere and reading the text was somehow getting delayed. It is said that the last speech he made was excellent! In fact all the discussions during the drafting of Indian Constitution were great, but the last speech was particularly great.

Today, on 75th Constitution Day I suddenly came across one of the speeches by Dr. Ambedkar, made during 1946. In this speech he lays out the outline of the structure he proposed for the Union of India.

It’s actually being streamed live now on the Indian Express youtube channel. You can listen to it here.
