
What I like about reading or being curious is that everyday you get to learn something new, something interesting everyday that makes you feel better by an iota.
I didn’t know, until now, about Quitters Day and the chances are that you wouldn’t either. So decided to write this quick post.
In fact I learnt two things today. There is an interesting website named “There Is A Day For That” which lists various Days that are observed across the world – such an interesting website!
Then I learnt about Quitters Day on this website.
The second Friday in January is known as Quitters Day as it is the most likely day for people to give up on their new year resolutions.
Research conducted by Strava, the social network for athletes, has discovered that the second Friday in January was the fateful day when most quitters motivations may begin to falter.
By analysing over 31.5 million global January activities, Strava was able to pinpoint the second Friday in January as “Quitters Day”.
So beware of today and stay put! Don’t quit!
As for me, I don’t have to worry about this day because I already made a resolution NOT to have a New Year’s Resolution!
Now the only thing I need to worry about is not to break that resolution…🤗
