Good Read: Customer-Based Corporate Valuation (CBCV)

Business Models and Business Valuation (or Valuation, in general) is one of my most favourite topics. I have followed several legends (likes of Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, Ben Graham, Prof. Aswath Damodaran et al), books and blogs on their philosophy of how to value a business.

Customer-Based Corporate Valuation (CBCV) is an interesting approach, especially for internet-backed businesses such as e-Commerce, B2C Apps.

I recently came across a very interesting blog and specifically an article which elaborates CBCV in detail and thought of sharing it here. You can read the article on CBCV here.

Another interesting article I found by the same author was about Digital Economies of Scale. I have bookmarked the articles but haven’t read it yet.

I just returned from our Leadership Offsite in Bangalore. It was a very intense session and stimulated lots of through-provoking discussions including one on Netflix culture. We also received a set of goodies, among which was my favourite gift – a book. The book is on Netflix’s culture. It reminded me of the above article which I have bookmarked and which has a tag line “How Netflix Selects Thumbnail Art“. So now I am eager to read the article first and then read the book!
