Vaalvi Review by Raja Sen

I wrote a review of the new Marathi movie Vaalvi a few days ago. Since I liked the movie a lot, I also recommended it to my non-Marathi speaking friends. Now the movie is streaming, along with subtitles, on Zee5 OTT platform since 24th February. A couple of non-Marathi speaking friends watched the movie and liked it a lot!

I was also curious to hear how other non-Marathi speaking people are receiving this movie. And who better than the person who is one of the best film critics to hear it from.

So today’s Mint newspaper carries review of Vaalvi by none other than Raja Sen. You can read it here.

Stream of Stories is a weekly column in Mint by Raja Sen which talks about a lot of new contents across the globe and across languages. I often pick up a lot of new “to-watch” things from his column. So when he chooses to review Vaalvi it’s a big thing in itself. What’s also satisfying is to know what similarities Raja found with other movies and literature (which he has mentioned in his review).

If you haven’t watched Vaalvi yet, go read Raja Sen’s review and watch the movie.
